Landscapes and Seascapes

Here is selection of Downland paintings, all around the East Sussex National Park area. The seascapes are also of Sussex coastline. The softness of the Downland is beautiful and the colours amazing. The sunrise and sunsets are particularly beautiful across the sea. When the weather is fine it is great to go out and sketch or paint the Downland. Occasionally the sheep come near as if to say what are you doing here!

Lately I have been adding much more colour to my paintings to brighten up a particularly gloomy winter. With more people working from home now they like to have colour on their walls. With this in mind it is particularly useful to have access to software which enables viewers to see what it is like to have a particular painting on a wall.

Occasionally I feel like painting other landscapes mostly made up in my mind or sparked by a picture I have seen. Sometimes there are TV screens which spark a thought for a picture. When this happens, I have to quickly sketch what I have seen and then later go to my studio to paint it.
