Floral, People and Places

Having done botanical painting many moons ago I now paint flowers in an impressionist fashion. Although I haven’t recently painted flowers I have quite a few that are still for sale and you will see them here. Again, colour is important to me and I do try to paint the true colours of flowers.

Although there are a few portraits on this site I do not generally paint them. I occasionally do studies of previous artist’s work to gain a knowledge of their use of colour and design. You will see some gold work that I painted when I studied some of Gustav Klimt’s paintings.

Occasionally when out and about I find interesting houses that would look good if painting on canvas or board. The subject can be altered to make it look more abstract and lots of colour added.
